Attention Adventure Seekers!
Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Trip

This is an all-inclusive, completely outfitted, guided one week trip.  It takes place in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.  We will canoe, portage, explore, and camp along the Minnesota/Canadian Border.

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota offers over a million acres of roadless wilderness containing more than 1500 lakes, protected from motorboats, lodges, and civilization.

We will travel to Ely, MN, before being dropped at the roads end.  From there we will begin our 6-day journey through some of the Boundary Waters most beautiful wilderness.  You may catch a variety of fish, from sparkling lakes and see wildlife that may include: moose, bear, wolves, eagles, otter, and beaver.  At night the skies will be ablaze with the Milky Way and possibly the Aurora Borealis, to highlight our campfire tales, before being lulled to sleep by gentle lake breezes.

Our trip leader will be Ed Deacy, who has visited over 500 different lakes, while guiding canoe trips for 35 years and paddling the Boundary Waters Canoe area for 43 consecutive years.  Experience is not necessary; however participants should be in reasonably good physical condition as we will paddle roughly 40 miles, and do 25 or more portages.  If you've never done something like this, you will not be the same person after the trip!

Whats Included:

  • Transportation to and from Ely, Minnesota.
  • Bunkhouse lodging for first night in Ely and Sunday morning breakfast.
  • Sunday morning van shuttle and boat road to canoe trip starting point on the Canadian Border.
  • 6 days, 5 nights, canoeing and camping, and all permit and camping fees.
  • All camping gear: canoes, life-vests, paddles, tents, tarps, packs, sleeping bags, mattresses, etc.
  • All the food on the trip: Well balanced meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Guiding (which includes cooking, doing dishes, camp chores, and help with fishing if desired)
  • Shuttle back to Ely, at conclusion of canoe trip and last night stay at a fine Ely inn.
