2016-2017 'Kampus Kids' -Before/After School Program

Before & After School
This child care program at Apollo and Stevenson Schools encourages education as well as playtime! Homework is done after snack but before playtime. The program is available to children in grades K-6.  The after school program is held at Apollo School. All students will be bussed to Apollo.

PROGRAM: 501

7:15-8:30 am; $50 per 2 week session
3:00-6:00 pm; $85 per 2 week session (This fee includes the additional child care hours (from 11:15 am-3:00 pm) on the school's 'School Improvement Day,' when children are dismissed early.)


2016-2017 Kindergarten After School Program:

An extended child care program is also provided afternoons for morning kindergartners attending Apollo, Mark Twain and Stevenson schools:

11:15 am-3:00 pm; $110 per 2 week session

This program is held at Apollo School.  Children attending morning kindergarten at Mark Twain and Stevenson will be bussed to Apollo


2017-2018 Kindergarten Before/After School Program:

An extended morning and afternoon program will be provided for kindergarteners attending Apollo, Mark Twain and Stevenson Schools.  Children enrolled in AM Kindergarten will be bussed to Apollo School.  Children enrolled in PM Kindergarten will be bussed to their home school from Apollo.

Morning:   8:30-noon
Afternoon:  11:30 am-3 pm

Youth Open Gym

Here’s your chance to improve your basketball skills, volleyball, ping-pong. Bring your friends and start a pick up game in any of these areas.

Tae Kwon Do

Children will learn many skills that put them in touch with their bodies. Building confidence, positive self-control, strength, discipline and the understanding of self-defense will be the focus of the instructors. All instructors are nationally or internationally certified. This is a year round activity. Participants may join at any time. SPECIALS FOR NEW MEMBERS: Free uniform with a 3 month sign up; or 2 months for the price of one month; or 2 students for the price of one students for one month. Any current student who brings in a new student will receive a free month.

Gaming Around the World

There are many diverse cultures in our community.  This class will teach children a new game from a different country each week.  It could be an active game, a 'thinking' game or a game played just for fun.

Baby Sitting Workshop 

The purpose of this workshop is to provide young people with the information and skills necessary for the safe & responsible care of children they watch. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safe play & first aid.

Off Day, Fun Days

When there is a day off from school, we have a fun day planned! Spend your day at Dee Park with games, crafts, movies, and more. Register early as space is limited and fills up quickly. Children must bring a sack lunch and a beverage. If the minimum of 12 participants is not met 1 week prior to day off, the program will be canceled!!

Home Alone Workshop for Kids

Does your child know what to do if they were left at home alone without a parent?  This workshop will teach kids how to handle situations such as strangers on the phone or at the door, severe weather or power outages and how to properly and appropriately dial 9-1-1.  Basic first aid procedures will be taught.

Outdoor Wilderness Survival Program

Participants will gain confidence in wilderness survival through hands-on activities in the forest.  Participants will learn about forest animals and their tracks, build emergency shelter, start a fire from scratch, plant identification, water gathering and purification, cooking over an open fire and finding their way in the woods.  Leader will be Eddie Deacy with over 30 years on North Woods guiding experience.
